Hikari Mini Algae Wafers are the small-disc version of Hikari's classic algae wafer — the same vegetable-rich, spirulina-and-chlorella formula for herbivorous grazers, shrunk to roughly 7 mm so smaller fish and invertebrates can manage them. They sink, hold their shape, and won't cloud the water, giving algae-eaters steady access to balanced nutrition.
Feeding Tip: The smaller size is ideal for shrimp, snails, Otocinclus, and smaller plecos — a single mini wafer is about right for a nano tank without the waste of breaking up a full-size disc. Drop one in toward evening and let your grazers settle in around it; remove anything uneaten after a couple of hours.
The go-to wafer when your bottom-feeders and inverts are on the smaller side, or when you simply want a more portion-friendly disc for a nano aquascape.
