Hikari Sinking Wafers were designed specifically for Corydoras catfish, loaches, and other bottom feeders with small, downward-facing mouths — fish that struggle to grab a flat algae wafer. The small, elliptical, quick-sinking shape is easy for them to pick up and ingest, and the formula leans on higher-protein sources suited to these omnivores rather than the veggie-heavy algae-wafer recipe.
Feeding Tip: These are the right call for a Corydoras or kuhli-loach tank where the fish need their own food that drifts to the bottom — community fish up top often eat everything before scraps reach the substrate. Many keepers pair these with soaked Micro Pellets so both the mid-water fish and the bottom crew are fed. Feed late in the day and remove leftovers.
