Mini Club Moss, botanically Selaginella kraussiana in its miniature form, is a compact African variant of the Club Moss species producing the same fine, moss-like foliage in a smaller, lower-growing form that stays under 3 inches — ideal for small terrarium environments and detailed emersed zones in nano paludariums. The miniature scale makes every element of the delicate foliage visible up close, creating an intricate, finely detailed terrarium ground covering.

Care note: Mini Club Moss is best grown in emersed or terrarium conditions with consistent humidity rather than fully submerged. Maintain temperatures of 65–75°F and a humid environment for healthy, vibrant growth.

Not an aquatic plant — Mini Club Moss requires consistently humid but emersed conditions in terrarium and paludarium environments. It spreads gradually across moist substrate creating dense, carpet-like coverage. Regular misting or consistent ambient humidity maintains the lush, vibrant growth. Full submersion is not tolerated.

This easy plant grows in low to moderate lighting without CO₂ supplementation. Temperatures between 65 and 75°F and a pH of 6.0 to 7.0 provide comfortable conditions. Consistent high humidity is the primary requirement. The miniature scale makes it appropriately sized for nano paludariums and small terrarium setups where full-sized Club Moss would be disproportionate.
