Limnophila Sessiliflora, commonly called Asian Ambulia, is a bushy, feathery-leaved background stem plant native across tropical and subtropical Asia. Its finely divided, whorled leaves give it a soft, fern-like texture that has made it a long-time favorite for filling out background planting quickly.
Care tip: Asian Ambulia is a fast, easy grower that fills space quickly — plan on regular trimming to keep it in check, especially in smaller aquariums where it can otherwise take over.
This plant grows readily under medium lighting with CO2 recommended for the fullest, most compact growth, though it will grow without it. It adapts to a broad pH and hardness range and appreciates a nutrient-rich substrate along with regular liquid fertilization. Propagation is simple: trim stem tops and replant the cuttings.
