Leopard Frog Pleco L134
Leopard Frog Pleco L134
Leopard Frog Pleco L134 (Peckoltia compta) is one of the most strikingly beautiful Peckoltia — the pale body is marked with a complex pattern of dark spots and lines creating a leopard frog-like mottled pattern. Peckoltia plecos are medium-sized, omnivorous loricariids that are more adaptable in diet than either the strictly carnivorous Hypancistrus or the wood-obligate Panaque.
Feeding & Care Tip: Hikari Sinking Wafers and Hikari Mini Algae Wafers make excellent staples. Supplement with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Bloodworms and blanched vegetables. Driftwood presence is beneficial.
Medium-sized loricariids from South American river systems. Require good filtration, caves for shelter, and clean water.
Singly or in pairs. Cave spawner with male brood care. Peaceful with most tankmates.
Rewarding mid-range collector plecos with attractive patterns.
