Hoya Forbesii Splash
Hoya Forbesii was described by King and Gamble and is native to western Malesia. This "Splash" form is a variegated selection of the species, showing irregular cream to silver-white patches scattered across the foliage in addition to the base green.
Note: as a freshly imported bare-root plant, this specimen typically arrives with just a few leaves — the photo shows a more mature, fuller specimen for reference.
Care tip: As with most variegated Hoya, give this form slightly brighter light than a plain green counterpart to help maintain strong variegation, while still avoiding harsh direct sun.
Give it bright indirect light, a well-draining epiphyte mix, and allow it to dry between waterings in typical Hoya fashion. Variegated patches lack chlorophyll, so growth is often a touch slower than an all-green sibling — patience is part of growing any splash-variegated Hoya well.
A distinctive variegated selection for collectors who want the visual interest of foliage patterning alongside a genuinely named species backbone.
