Bucephalandra Rainbow Marble
Bucephalandra Rainbow Marble
Bucephalandra Rainbow Marble is a colorful nano variety with iridescent purple-marble foliage that creates a spectacular miniature display of shifting color and organic patterning. The combination of rainbow iridescence and marble patterning across compact leaves makes this one of the most visually complex small plants available in the freshwater hobby — a genuine collector's specimen that delivers exceptional visual return from a very small physical footprint.
Planting tip: Bucephalandra Rainbow Marble can be planted with the rhizome resting at the substrate surface, or attached to driftwood, rock, or other hardscape at any position in the aquarium. Never fully bury the rhizome under substrate, as this will cause rot. If attaching to hardscape, use cotton thread or aquarium-safe adhesive to secure it, and the plant will anchor itself naturally over time.
As a Bornean Bucephalandra from Indonesia, Rainbow Marble can be planted with the rhizome resting at the substrate surface or attached to rock or driftwood at any position in the aquarium. Never fully bury the rhizome. This easy-care variety grows well in low to moderate lighting without requiring CO₂ supplementation. Temperatures between 72 and 82°F and a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5 provide ideal conditions. Like all Bucephalandra, Rainbow Marble can produce small, delicate white flowers both underwater and above the waterline.
Growing to just 1 to 2 inches, Rainbow Marble is perfectly suited to nano tanks and detailed foreground work in standard aquascapes. Regular liquid fertilization, particularly with micronutrient-rich formulas, supports the vibrancy of the iridescent purple-marble coloration.
In the aquascape, Bucephalandra Rainbow Marble is a jewel-like accent plant that creates immediate visual impact wherever it is placed. The purple-marble iridescence is most vivid on dark stone or contrasting with deep green plants, and grouping several specimens together creates a shimmering display of shifting color that is one of the most beautiful foreground effects possible in nano aquascaping.
Bucephalandra Rainbow Marble is a plant of extraordinary beauty in a miniature form. Its complex iridescent patterning, easy care, and tiny size make it a top-tier collector's choice and one of the finest nano aquascape plants available.
