Bucephalandra boyan mini narrow
Bucephalandra boyan mini narrow
Bucephalandra boyan mini narrow is a delicate miniature variety featuring slender, narrow leaves in a compact, low-growing arrangement that makes it one of the finer-textured small Bucephalandra available. The narrow leaf form on a miniature scale creates a plant of exceptional refinement — ideal for nano aquascapes where every plant choice impacts the overall composition, and for precision foreground detailing in standard-sized planted tanks.
Planting tip: Bucephalandra boyan mini narrow can be planted with the rhizome resting at the substrate surface, or attached to driftwood, rock, or other hardscape at any position in the aquarium. Never fully bury the rhizome under substrate, as this will cause rot. If attaching to hardscape, use cotton thread or aquarium-safe adhesive to secure it, and the plant will anchor itself naturally over time.
As a boyan-type Bucephalandra from Indonesia, boyan mini narrow can be planted with the rhizome resting at the substrate surface or attached to hardscape at any height in the aquarium. Never fully bury the rhizome. This easy-care variety grows well in low to moderate lighting with optional CO₂ supplementation and is noted for its resilience once established. Temperatures between 72 and 82°F and a pH of 6.0 to 7.5 provide comfortable conditions. Like all Bucephalandra, boyan mini narrow can produce small, delicate white flowers both underwater and above the waterline.
Growing to 1 to 3 inches with notably narrow leaves, this variety is sized and scaled for nano environments and detailed foreground work. Regular liquid fertilization supports healthy growth and maintains the slender leaf form.
In the aquascape, Bucephalandra boyan mini narrow is most effective in nano tanks where the slender leaves create a graceful, fine-textured foreground planting. In larger aquascapes it adds precision detail work on small pieces of stone or fine driftwood. Pairing it with other miniature Bucephalandra varieties like Pygmy or Blue Boyan creates a miniature collection display of extraordinary botanical variety in a tiny space.
Bucephalandra boyan mini narrow is a slender, graceful miniature with the reliable hardiness of the Bucephalandra genus. A beautiful choice for nano tanks and detailed aquascape compositions.
