Black Line Tail Tetra
Black Line Tail Tetra (Moenkhausia costae) is an attractive aquarium fish from São Francisco and Parnaíba basins, northeastern Brazil.
Feeding & Care Tip: Hikari Micro Pellets makes an excellent daily staple. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp, Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Bloodworms to maintain best condition and color. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.
Native to São Francisco and Parnaíba basins, northeastern Brazil. In the aquarium, a planted setup with the ideal parameters listed below and stable, clean water produces the best coloration and health.
Keep in groups of at least 8. As with most schooling species, larger groups produce more natural behavior and richer color. See Notes for any important care considerations.
