Anubias Stardust Mini
Anubias Stardust Mini
Anubias Stardust Mini brings the spectacular stardust variegation pattern to a compact, manageable size of 2 to 4 inches that is perfect for smaller aquariums and detailed aquascapes. The small leaves feature the characteristic white speckles and veining that give the stardust line its name. The chart notes it as a striking focal plant when grown on larger driftwood pieces — even at miniature scale this plant commands attention.
Planting tip: Never bury the rhizome in substrate — Anubias Stardust Mini should always be attached to driftwood, rock, or other hardscape with the rhizome fully exposed. Use cotton thread or aquarium-safe adhesive to secure it, and the plant will anchor itself naturally over time.
Like all Anubias, Stardust Mini is easy to care for. It grows well in low to moderate lighting — moderate light preserves the contrast between the white markings and the green leaf base without encouraging algae on the slow-growing foliage. CO₂ supplementation is not required, and the plant tolerates temperatures between 72 and 82°F with a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5. Regular liquid fertilization supports healthy growth and clear variegation.
Anubias Stardust Mini should be attached to driftwood or stone with the rhizome fully exposed. Its compact size makes it ideal for detailed placement on small stones or fine-grained wood where the miniature patterned leaves can be appreciated up close.
In the aquascape, Anubias Stardust Mini commands immediate attention as a foreground or midground accent. Pairing it with uniformly green plants — Java Fern, mosses, or plain Anubias nana varieties — throws its unique coloration into sharp relief. In nano tanks it can serve as a single-specimen feature plant that brightens the entire aquascape. Rare, collector-quality patterning combined with the legendary ease of the Anubias genus.
