Anubias Barteri Petite Round
Anubias Barteri Petite Round
Anubias Barteri Petite Round is a charming compact cultivar distinguished by its notably small, almost perfectly circular leaves that give the plant an unusually tidy and decorative appearance. Growing to just 1 to 2 inches, it is one of the smallest Anubias barteri varieties available, making it perfectly suited to foreground placement and nano aquariums where miniature scale is valued.
Planting tip: Never bury the rhizome in substrate — Anubias Barteri Petite Round should always be attached to driftwood, rock, or other hardscape with the rhizome fully exposed. Use cotton thread or aquarium-safe adhesive to secure it, and the plant will anchor itself naturally over time.
Like all members of the Anubias genus, Anubias Barteri Petite Round is an easy, low-maintenance plant. It thrives in low lighting without requiring CO₂ injection and adapts well to temperatures between 72 and 82°F and a pH range of 6.0 to 7.5. Low CO₂ needs and tiny leaf size make it ideal for intricate aquascapes and nano tank environments. Regular liquid fertilization supports the healthy production of new, characteristically round leaves.
Anubias Barteri Petite Round must be attached to hardscape with the rhizome fully exposed. The round leaf shape is best appreciated when the plant is displayed on a flat or gently curved surface of driftwood or stone, allowing the circular leaves to spread outward naturally.
In the aquascape, the perfectly round leaves of Anubias Barteri Petite Round create a playful, geometric contrast against long-leaved plants, fine-textured mosses, and angular hardscape. It serves beautifully as a foreground accent in standard tanks and as a midground plant in nano aquascapes. Shrimp keepers will find that dwarf shrimp are particularly fond of grazing on the smooth, round leaf surfaces. A delightful miniature cultivar.
