Albino Silver Tip Tetra
Albino Silver Tip Tetra
Albino Silver Tip Tetra (Hasemania nana) is the albino form of the Silver Tip Tetra — pale cream to white body with the characteristic silver-tipped fin coloration retained and often appearing more vivid against the pale albino background. Red eyes. Nana means 'dwarf' in Greek.
Feeding & Care Tip: Sera Vipan Tropical Flakes and Hikari Micro Pellets make excellent daily staples. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Bloodworms, Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp, or Hikari Vibra Bites. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.
Same native range as the standard Silver Tip — São Francisco River drainage, Brazil.
Keep in groups of at least 8. Can be mixed with standard Silver Tips for an attractive contrast school. More light-sensitive than the standard form.
The albino form takes a reliable tetra and makes the silver fin tips even more striking against the pale background.
