Neon Green Rasbora
Neon Green Rasbora (Microdevario kubotai) earns its name from the brilliant yellow-green neon stripe that runs the full length of the body. The pure electric lime-green of this species is genuinely unique among freshwater fish and makes it a conversation piece in any aquarium.
Feeding & Care Tip: Start juveniles on Sera Micron Nature and transition to Sera Vipan Baby flakes as they mature. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.
Native to clear, fast-flowing forest streams in western Thailand and Myanmar, this species is not strictly a blackwater fish and can do well in slightly harder water than Boraras species. It still benefits from a planted environment and dark substrate.
Keep in groups of at least eight, preferably twelve or more. Peaceful and mixes well with other small, non-aggressive species. Particularly effective against red or purple aquatic plants — the complementary contrast is visually stunning.
A fish that consistently surprises customers who see it for the first time — the electric lime-green stripe is unlike anything else available in freshwater fishkeeping.
