Flame Tetra
Flame Tetra (Hyphessobrycon flammeus) is an attractive aquarium fish from Coastal rivers near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Feeding & Care Tip: Hikari Micro Pellets makes an excellent daily staple. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Tubifex Worms, Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp to maintain best condition and color. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.
Native to Coastal rivers near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the aquarium, a planted setup with the ideal parameters listed below and stable, clean water produces the best coloration and health.
Keep in groups of at least 8. As with most schooling species, larger groups produce more natural behavior and richer color. See Notes for any important care considerations.
