Cardinal Tetra
Cardinal Tetra (Paracheirodon axelrodi) is an attractive aquarium fish from Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela (Rio Negro, Rio Orinoco).
Feeding & Care Tip: Hikari Micro Pellets makes an excellent daily staple. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp, Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Tubifex Worms to maintain best condition and color. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.
Native to Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela (Rio Negro, Rio Orinoco). In the aquarium, a planted setup with the ideal parameters listed below and stable, clean water produces the best coloration and health.
Keep in groups of at least 8. As with most schooling species, larger groups produce more natural behavior and richer color. See Notes for any important care considerations.
