Sticherus sp. Borneo is a Sticherus fern collected in Indonesian Borneo. Sticherus, commonly called umbrella ferns or false staghorn ferns, is a genus known for repeatedly forking fronds that create a distinctive tiered, umbrella-like architecture, often forming dense thickets in disturbed or open forest habitat.

Note: as a freshly imported bare-root plant, this specimen typically arrives with just a few leaves — the photo shows a more mature, fuller specimen for reference.

Care tip: Give it consistent humidity and airflow rather than direct sun — like most understory ferns, it burns easily in bright light but suffers in stagnant, poorly ventilated conditions.

Give it bright, indirect light, 60-80% humidity, and a well-draining, humus-rich fern mix. Keep evenly moist; avoid waterlogging
