Yellow Phantom Tetra (Hyphessobrycon roseus) displays warm yellow to rosy-golden body coloration with a large black shoulder spot — a subtler, warmer palette than the dramatic Black Phantom. The deep, laterally compressed body is similar to the Phantom Tetras. Roseus means 'rosy-colored.'
Feeding & Care Tip: Sera Vipan Tropical Flakes and Hikari Micro Pellets make excellent daily staples. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Bloodworms, Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp, or Hikari Vibra Bites. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.
Native to the upper Orinoco and Guiana drainages — soft, slightly acidic water.
Keep in groups of at least 8. The warm yellow body and black shoulder spot create an attractive combination. Compatible with peaceful community fish.
