Scratched Inpa Tetra (Inpaichthys parauapiranga) is a rare and collector-grade tetra from the Rio Parauapiranga area of Brazil — the 'scratched' appearance of the body markings, with irregular dark lines on a pale background, gives this unusual fish its trade name. A genuinely uncommon find.
Feeding & Care Tip: Sera Vipan Tropical Flakes and Hikari Micro Pellets make excellent daily staples. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Bloodworms, Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp, or Hikari Vibra Bites. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.
Native to upper tributaries of the Amazon in Maranhão state, Brazil. Soft, slightly acidic water preferred.
Keep in groups of at least 8. Rarely available — collector interest. Peaceful community tetra.
