Panda Tetra (Aphyocharax nattereri) is a small, striking South American tetra with bold black-and-white panda-like coloration — white to silver body with a bold dark spot near the tail creating the panda effect. A clean, graphic pattern on an active schooling tetra.
Feeding & Care Tip: Sera Vipan Tropical Flakes and Hikari Micro Pellets make excellent daily staples. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Bloodworms, Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp, or Hikari Vibra Bites. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.
Native to rivers of Brazil — Aphyocharax is a genus of active, fast-swimming small tetras that school tightly. Soft to moderately soft water preferred.
Keep in groups of at least 10. Fast-swimming and active. Compatible with similarly active community fish.
