Anthurium Regale is native to Peru, a stately velvet-leaf species with large, plush leaves and intricate yellowish-white veining running close to the leaf margin — a detail that helps distinguish it from the similar Anthurium magnificum, whose venation sits further from the edge. In favorable conditions, mature leaves can reach 90 cm (3 feet) or more. This "Sunda" line is a named selection propagated and grown on in Southeast Asia.
Note: as a freshly imported bare-root plant, this specimen typically arrives with just a few leaves — the photo shows a more mature, fuller specimen for reference.
Care tip: This is a genuinely large-growing species — plan for a substantial pot and give it room, as leaf size scales up dramatically as the plant matures.
Give it bright, indirect light, consistently high humidity, warm stable temperatures, and a loose, well-draining aroid mix. Regale has also been used in hybridizing — crossed with magnificum it produces a hybrid known in Indonesia as "Anthurium Petir" (lightning), prized for its vivid foliage.
One of the more stately, large-scale velvet-leaf Anthurium species, prized specifically for its fine, close-margin venation — a genuine centerpiece specimen once mature.
