Super Red Devil Tetra (Hyphessobrycon notidanos) is a vivid and intensely red Hyphessobrycon with a bold black shoulder spot and flowing fin development in males — the 'devil' in the name refers to the intensity of the red coloration. A striking and relatively uncommon species from the Xingu drainage.
Feeding & Care Tip: Sera Vipan Tropical Flakes and Hikari Micro Pellets make excellent daily staples. Supplement 2–3× per week with Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Bloodworms, Hikari Frozen or Freeze-Dried Baby Brine Shrimp, or Hikari Vibra Bites. Feed small amounts 2–3 times daily.
Native to the Xingu drainage in Brazil — soft, slightly acidic water.
Keep in groups of at least 8. Vivid red most intense in soft water. Males may display to each other. Peaceful community tetra.
