Equipped with double sponges, the hygger fish tank filter provides an expanded surface area for beneficial bacteria to filter the aquarium water, resulting in crystal clear conditions. It also effectively removes odd smells, enhancing the overall water quality.
The sponge filter has two kinds of replaceable filter materials, including sponge + ceramic filter balls. You can remove sponges for cleaning or replacement, with a total of 4 sponges. It also has 2 media boxes with ceramic filters to help eliminate debris and provide additional cleaning.
It can increase the amount of water dissolved, and is not easy to block. The upgraded multi-layer design of filter cotton, with a large surface area, provides full filtration without dead ends. The bottom direction is 360 degrees rotatable.
The hidden outlet design reduces noise and produces more delicate bubbles, creating a serene and natural environment for your aquatic pets.
1. Open the box and rinse the two sponges, ceramic beads, and all filter parts with the water from the fish tank. Then, soak the sponges and ceramic beads in the tank water for 10 minutes.
2. Split the ceramic pearls into two equal parts and pour them into the two designated ceramic bead containers.
3. Secure the lid to the ceramic pearl container and attach the two sponges to the filter.
4. Mount the retractable outlet pipe onto the T-connector.
5. Ensure the double sponge filter is positioned vertically to prevent the ceramic beads from blocking the pipe.
6. Connect the filter to an air pump using an air tube. Ensure the air tube is equipped with a check valve to prevent water backflow in case of a power failure.
The medium sponge filter is 6.3 inches wide and 9 to 13 inches in height; the sponge inside the circle diameter is 0.59 inches.
The small sponge filter is 6 inches wide and 9 to 13 inches in height; the sponge inside the circle is 0.39 inches.
