Scindapsus Treubii "Dark Form" is native to the tropical rainforests of Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo, and Java, distinguished from the more common Scindapsus pictus by its narrower, less asymmetrical leaves and its glossy, nearly black, solid-colored foliage rather than variegation.
Care tip: This form does not reliably curl its leaves to signal thirst the way Scindapsus pictus does -- judge its watering needs by leaf firmness instead: glossy and resilient means well-hydrated, slightly wrinkled and dull means it is time to water.
Give it bright indirect light or filtered light, well-drained soil rich in organic matter, and water only once the mix is half dry to nearly fully dry -- this species does not tolerate overwatering.
One of the most striking near-black foliage plants in the aroid world, and still genuinely uncommon compared to its lighter Scindapsus pictus relatives.
