The Hydra Aquatics Stainless CO2 Diffuser is an inline-style stainless steel diffuser that dissolves your pressurized CO₂ into a fine mist of micro-bubbles for efficient uptake by your plants. Unlike fragile glass diffusers, the stainless build is durable and won't crack, and its sleek metal look is a clean, modern alternative for a high-tech aquascape. A ceramic membrane inside produces the fine bubble mist that gives good CO₂ dissolution.
Good to Know: The different lengths refer to the tube size, designed to suit different tank heights and widths — a longer diffuser distributes bubbles across a wider tank, while a shorter one suits a nano or smaller display. (Sizes offered: 7.87", 9.84", 11.81", and 13.78".) Like all ceramic diffusers, the membrane eventually clogs and benefits from periodic cleaning or a replacement disc to keep the mist fine.
How to Use: Mount it in the tank (typically low, opposite your flow, so bubbles circulate and dissolve on the way up), connect CO₂-rated tubing through a check valve, and adjust your bubble rate using a drop checker to confirm the dissolved level.
