The Hydra Aquatics Pro CO2 Check Valve is a small but essential safeguard for any CO₂ system. It permits gas to flow one way only — from your regulator toward the tank — while blocking water from siphoning back up the line. Without one, water can creep backward into your tubing, bubble counter, and ultimately your regulator, where it causes corrosion and failure. This is a CO₂-rated valve built to resist the slightly acidic, pressurized conditions a CO₂ line sees.
Good to Know: Not all check valves survive CO₂ duty — cheap airline check valves degrade quickly under pressurized CO₂. A purpose-built CO₂ check valve like this one is rated for the job and is inexpensive insurance against an expensive regulator repair. It's a must-have on both pressurized systems and DIY/generator setups.
How to Use: Install it in the CO₂ line with the flow arrow pointing toward the tank/diffuser, positioned after the bubble counter. Push the tubing firmly onto both ends for a leak-free seal, and confirm gas flows freely the correct way after fitting.
