Description
Scindapsus sp. Argyraeus Black
Scindapsus Argyraeus is the most commonly grown cultivar of Scindapsus pictus, featuring smallish, pine-green leaves with minimal silver spotting. This "Black" selection is a darker-toned form, showing deeper, more saturated green-to-near-black coloring than the standard Argyraeus.
Care tip: Darker forms like this one can lose some of their depth of color in low light -- bright indirect light helps maintain the richer, near-black tones.
Give it bright indirect light, well-draining soil, and allow the top of the mix to dry between waterings, in keeping with standard Scindapsus pictus care.
A moodier take on the genus's most familiar cultivar, for collectors who want the easy-care reputation of Argyraeus with a darker visual edge.
