Sera Filter Wool is a fine mechanical filter media for catching the small dirt particles that cloud water. Its stable fibers trap fine debris and hold it without quickly matting down or collapsing, so flow stays strong and the wool keeps polishing the water longer than cheaper floss. It suits virtually any filter, used as the fine mechanical stage.
Rinse it under warm water before first use. It's an inexpensive, replaceable media — swap in fresh wool when it's clogged. For the cleanest results, place it as one of the last mechanical stages so it polishes water after coarser foam has caught the bigger debris.
