Seachem Tidal Matrix is the same high-porosity biological media as Seachem Matrix, portioned and sized to drop straight into the media basket of a Seachem Tidal hang-on-back filter. It gives the beneficial bacteria that convert ammonia and nitrite into nitrate a vast internal surface area to colonize, building a stable, efficient biofilter.
It's inert and effectively permanent — no need to replace it, just rinse in old tank water if it clogs. Choose the size to match your filter (35 or 55). For how it works in detail, see our Seachem Matrix listing.
