Seachem SureStart is a two-part new-tank starter system that combines beneficial bacteria with water conditioning to get a new aquarium up and running safely. It establishes the biofilter that processes toxic ammonia and nitrite while also detoxifying those compounds in the meantime — smoothing out the dangerous early weeks when a new tank is most likely to lose fish to an ammonia spike.
Good to Know: SureStart is designed to let you stock a new tank sooner and more safely by pairing live bacteria with ammonia/nitrite detoxification — the same belt-and-suspenders logic as using Stability with Prime, in one system. It's a convenient choice for beginners setting up their first tank who want a guided start.
How to Use: Follow the two-part schedule on the label for your tank volume, dosing at setup and over the following days. Continue testing ammonia and nitrite, and add fish gradually rather than all at once.
