Seachem SulfaPlex is a sulfadimidine-based antibiotic effective against a range of bacterial and some fungal infections. Sulfa drugs work differently from the aminoglycosides (like the kanamycin in KanaPlex), giving you a chemically distinct option — valuable both for infections that respond better to a sulfa, and for rotating classes when one approach hasn't worked.
Good to Know: SulfaPlex broadens the toolkit beyond the kanamycin and neomycin options in the line. Like the others it can be used in the water or, with Seachem Focus, bound to food for internal infections and single-fish treatment. Because antibiotics should be matched to the infection rather than stacked indiscriminately, having distinct drug classes on the shelf lets you make a considered second choice if a first-line treatment stalls.
It's a product aimed at the more experienced keeper who is thinking carefully about which class of antibiotic fits the symptoms in front of them.
Dosing Guidelines: Dose per the label and finish the full course. Remove chemical filtration before treating, ideally in a hospital tank. Don't combine multiple antibiotics without good reason, and avoid under-dosing.
