Seachem AquaSolum is a lightweight, spherical clay-based planted-aquarium substrate that anchors plant roots while supporting healthy growth. The porous, rounded granules give roots a stable footing and excellent oxygen flow, and provide a large surface for the beneficial bacteria that keep a planted tank balanced. It's a clean, attractive base layer for an aquascape that won't cloud the water.
Good to Know: AquaSolum is designed to gently support a planted-tank environment and pairs well with root tabs and a liquid fertilizer routine for demanding plants. Its spherical shape resists compaction (which keeps roots healthy) and looks natural in a scape. This is the 8.8 lb bag.
How to Use: Add to the empty tank to your desired depth (deeper at the back for a planted slope), then fill slowly over a plate or bag to avoid disturbing the bed. Pair with root tabs for heavy root-feeders.
