The Seachem Alert Combo pairs Seachem's two continuous in-tank monitors — Ammonia Alert and pH Alert — in one package. Rather than tests you run, these are small sensor discs you stick inside the tank that change color to show your ammonia and pH levels continuously, 24/7, for about a year. A glance tells you instantly whether things are safe, with early warning of a problem before your fish show stress.
Good to Know — free vs. total ammonia: The Ammonia Alert reads only free (toxic) ammonia, whereas bottle tests read total ammonia — so it cuts through the confusion where a liquid test shows "ammonia present" while your fish are actually safe (common when using a conditioner like Prime). The pH Alert is especially handy in a CO₂-injected planted tank, where pH drifts through the day. They complement liquid kits: the discs show when something moves, the kits tell you precisely how far.
How to Use: Stick each sensor on the inside glass where you'll see it, allow a few days to equilibrate, and read the color against the key. Wipe algae only with a soft cloth (never touch the sensor pad), and remove during colored-dye medications.
