Salty Shrimp Bee Shrimp Mineral GH+ is the remineralizer formulated specifically for soft-water Caridina shrimp — crystal reds and blacks, Taiwan bees, and bumblebee/tiger shrimp. It raises general hardness (GH) with the full mineral and trace-element package these shrimp need, but adds essentially no KH — deliberately. Caridina come from acidic habitats and are kept on active "buffering" soils that drive pH below 7.0, and adding KH would fight that buffering and push pH up.
Good to Know — GH+ vs. GH/KH+: Use this GH+ version with Caridina on active soil, where you want low KH and an acidic pH. Use the other Salty Shrimp (GH/KH+) for Neocaridina and neutral water that needs KH to stay stable. Choosing the wrong one is one of the most common Caridina mistakes — KH in a bee-shrimp tank both raises pH and exhausts your buffering soil faster.
Powdered for perfect consistency, it dissolves into RO or distilled water in seconds, giving you precise, repeatable parameters for these sensitive, higher-value shrimp.
Dosing Guidelines: Mix into pure water outside the tank. A typical Caridina target is a GH of about 4–6 (TDS roughly 100–130) with KH near 0–1. The maker's guide is around one level scoop (~3 g) per 20 L to reach ~6 GH — start lighter, measure GH/TDS, and build up to your target.
