Ocean Nutrition Clams on the Half Shell are whole clams presented in their half shell, flash-frozen — a meaty, enriching treat that lets fish and invertebrates pick and graze naturally off the shell. It's a favorite enrichment food for pufferfish, larger fish, crabs, and crayfish, offering both nutrition and the natural foraging behavior of working food off a shell. This is the 8 oz size.
Feeding Tip: A treat and enrichment food rather than a daily staple. Pufferfish especially benefit from shellfish like this to help wear down their constantly-growing beaks. Remove the empty shell once the fish have stripped the meat so it doesn't foul the tank.
Thawing & Handling: Pop out a portion into a small cup of tank water, let it thaw a minute or two, then pour off the excess pack liquid before feeding. Feed only what's eaten in a couple of minutes, never refreeze a thawed portion, and wash your hands after handling.
