This is the replacement mechanical/biological filter foam for the Oase BioPlus internal filter. The foam is the heart of the filter — it traps debris and waste (mechanical filtration) while providing a large surface area for the beneficial bacteria that process ammonia and nitrite (biological filtration). Fresh foam restores full flow and filtration when an old sponge is too worn to clean.
Good to Know: Rinse these foams in old tank water during routine maintenance to preserve the bacteria; only replace them when they're physically breaking down. When you do replace foam, stagger it (don't swap every piece at once) so you never wipe out your whole biofilter in one go.
How to Use: Fit the replacement foam into your BioPlus filter, rinsing it once in tank water before first use. Keep a spare on hand for when an old sponge wears out.
