API Pond pH Down is a pH-lowering treatment formulated for ponds. High pH is common in ponds — especially newer ones or those with a lot of rock and concrete — and can stress fish and throw off water balance. This product gently brings an elevated pond pH down into a safer, more comfortable range for pond fish.
Good to Know: This is a pond-scale product, so it's dosed for the much larger volumes ponds hold. As with any pH adjustment, gradual is better than dramatic — sudden swings stress fish more than a slightly high reading does — so adjust over time and re-test as you go.
For water-garden and pond keepers, it's a straightforward way to correct a stubbornly high pH and keep koi, goldfish, and pond plants in a healthier range.
Dosing Guidelines: Dose according to the label for your pond's volume, lowering pH gradually and re-testing before adding more. Make adjustments in steps rather than all at once to avoid stressing fish.
