API 5-in-1 Test Strips are the fast, convenient way to check your aquarium — a single dip reads five parameters at once: pH, KH (carbonate hardness), GH (general hardness), nitrite, and nitrate, with results in under a minute against the color chart. Ideal for a quick routine check, spot-testing after a water change, or testing source water before it goes in.
Good to Know: The 5-in-1 is the easiest way to read GH and KH — the hardness and buffering values that matter so much in planted and shrimp tanks — which the liquid Master Kit doesn't cover. Note it does not include ammonia; for that, use a liquid ammonia test or ammonia strips. Strips trade a little accuracy for speed, so reseal the bottle promptly and keep it dry. This is the 25-count tube.
How to Use: Dip a strip briefly, hold it level (don't shake off the water), and compare the pads to the chart at the stated times. Keep the bottle tightly closed between uses.
