Acurel Filter Fiber is a versatile polyester filter media you can cut to fit virtually any filter — HOB, canister, sump, or internal. As a mechanical stage it traps free-floating debris and fine particles, and it doubles as a polishing layer for noticeably clearer water. Its loose, fill-it-yourself form makes it handy for topping up media baskets or replacing proprietary cartridge floss.
Cut a piece to size, rinse, and place it in the flow path; replace it when it's clogged. An inexpensive, flexible staple to keep on hand for any filter.
