The Oase OptiMax 1420 is a compact, quiet, energy-efficient circulation/utility pump — the 1420 designation refers to its flow rate (around 1420 L/h). German-engineered for reliable, low-noise running, it's built to drive aquarium circulation, power a canister or sump return, or run reactors and other equipment, with adjustable flow control so you can tune the output to your setup.
Good to Know: Good water movement matters in a planted tank — it spreads CO₂ and nutrients evenly and prevents stagnant dead spots where detritus and algae collect. The adjustable flow lets you match the current to your livestock, gentler for nano fish and shrimp or stronger for flow-loving species. Keep the intake clear and rinse the impeller periodically for quiet, reliable running.
