GlasGarten Mineral Junkie Bites are small mineral-rich pellets that solve one of the most common problems in invertebrate keeping: mineral deficiency. Shrimp, crayfish, crabs, and snails build their exoskeletons and shells from minerals they cannot make themselves — and a shortfall shows up as failed molts, stunted growth, high juvenile mortality, and pitted, holey snail shells. These bites supply both inorganic and organically-bound minerals to prevent exactly that.
Feeding Tip: A go-to for ornamental shrimp (Neocaridina like cherries, and Caridina like crystals and Taiwan bees) struggling with molting, and for snails whose shells are pitting or growing thin — the minerals also intensify shrimp coloration, since their color cells are tied to mineral-dependent muscle. Protein and fat are kept deliberately low to avoid fouling the water. Offer every 2–3 days, as much as the inverts clear in a few hours; they make a tidy weekend/vacation staple too.
