GlasGarten Bacter AE is a micro-fine powder that supercharges the biofilm in a shrimp tank — the invisible microbial layer that is the single most important food source for baby shrimp. It adds beneficial microorganisms, amino acids, and enzymes (plus probiotic Bacillus subtilis and Pediococcus) that bloom into a constant, protein-rich biofilm for ornamental shrimp (Neocaridina like cherries, and Caridina like crystals and Taiwan bees) to graze. The bacteria sit in a resting state and activate the moment they touch water.

Feeding Tip: This is the product our shrimp pages point to again and again for raising baby shrimp — a dependable biofilm boost dramatically improves shrimplet survival, and the probiotics also aid the adults' digestion and nutrient uptake. Dose by tank stocking: lightly stocked, about ½ measuring spoon daily; normally stocked, 1 spoon daily; heavily stocked, twice daily. Start at half dose for the first week. (1 spoon ≈ 0.5 g.)
