Microbe-Lift Herbtana is the parasite-focused companion to Artemiss — an all-natural, herbal immune-enhancing stimulant aimed at external parasites including ich (white spot), Oodinium/velvet, Costia, Chilodonella, Trichodina, and skin and gill flukes. The thinking behind it: parasites are present on most fish at low levels and kept in check by a healthy immune system; stress weakens that defense and lets them bloom. Herbtana supports the fish's immune response so it can drive the excess parasites off, after which they starve without a host.
Honest Expectations: As with Artemiss, we'll be candid — Herbtana is a natural immune-support aid, not a fast-acting chemical parasite killer. It can help with a mild, early problem and is a reasonable gentle option for quarantine, but for an established, fast-moving ich outbreak many keepers will get more reliable results from a dedicated treatment (and raising temperature). Use it early, and don't rely on it alone for a serious infestation.
A Caution for Shrimp, Snails & Bettas: Like Artemiss, Herbtana is herbal/oil-based, and there are reports of it harming shrimp and snails and irritating the labyrinth organ of bettas and gouramis. Keep it out of shrimp and snail tanks, use caution with labyrinth fish, and treat in quarantine where you can.
Dosing Guidelines: Shake well, turn off UV/ozone, remove carbon, and dose per the label — about 1 mL per 5 gallons daily for 10 days, started as soon as symptoms appear. Alternate with Artemiss 12 hours apart for new-fish quarantine. Don't combine with other medications, algaecides, or copper products.
