The Aquavitro Shrimp Tube is a ceramic tube shelter for ornamental shrimp — an open-ended hide that shrimp dart into for security, breeding, and post-molt protection. The tubular form is a classic shrimp-keeping favorite because it offers a quick, enclosed refuge while still being easy to keep clean.
Good to Know: Shrimp feel safest with plenty of hiding places, and they're especially vulnerable right after molting, when their new shell is soft. A dedicated shelter gives them somewhere to retreat to breed and to hide while they harden up — which reduces stress and improves survival and breeding in a colony. The surface also grows the biofilm shrimp love to graze.
