The defining feature is a vivid orange-gold blaze that runs from just behind and above the eye forward to the dorsal fin, forming a striking V-shape when viewed from above. Closely related to and frequently confused with \u003cem\u003eCorydoras adolfoi\u003c\/em\u003e, which we also carry — the key distinction is that \u003cem\u003eC. duplicareus\u003c\/em\u003e has a broader dark body bar and a more intense, deeper orange marking.
