FAQs

The Light Panels are designed to fit on WIO brand Rimless Aquariums, but they do fit on many other brands as well. You need to insure that the length, width and glass thickness will work for your aquarium.

While not designed for this, the mounting brackets can be easily removed and the light panel can be set behind almost any tank and then just taped to the top of the tank, or possibly held in place by the mounting of your filter or primary light. They are light weight and easily held in place.

It is possible to remove the mounting brackets and simply set the light panel on your stand behind the tank and then hold the light panel to the tank at the top with a piece of tape or possibly your filter or primary light attachment will hold it there.

There are metal brackets on the top of the panel that fit a specific thickness of glass and they simply slide down over the glass

Possibly. The light panel essentially increases the thickness of you back glass, so any HOB filter or other equipment has to all for the overall thickness of the glass and the light panel. In our experience, most filters and equipment designed for larger tanks will accommodate the slim profile of the Light Panel.

The Light panel can be very bright, but because it is light from behind your tank, the fish and plants will generally appear dark from the front of the tank, unless you have a top mounted light.
